I owe Starbucks money...

Now this is embarassing, owing Starbucks money. I guess this is what I get for carrying exact change in my pocket (or thinking that I have the exact change, I left the coins that I was playing around with on my desk). The cashier (who didn't recognize me) thought I was nuts when I asked if I can borrow RMB4 from them. Luckily, my credit is good with the store manager. *sigh*

Half a year and 3 sizes later...

In the 6 months since I last blogged...

1. I still work in Shenzhen
2. I still have ZERO non-work friends in Shenzhen
3. I was sick for 3 months (viral infection, cold, anything that can hit me whilst my immunity is down)
4. I went down to a size 2 (as a result of #3, never thought i would say that I'm a size 2 though)
5. I spend a good chunk of my spare time playing video games (NDS and Wii - they are cooollll)
6. I send my brother random food stuff (curry pouches) that ends up on his carpet instead of in his stomach
7. I got a new phone - Sony Ericsson W880i.. it's so thin that i keep thinking i'm gonna break it

Urgh.. i'm bored, why am I at work on Easter Monday!!

1st Mirror in the morning

The first mirror in the morning (excluding ones in my apartment) is very important to how I feel about the day ahead. If that mirror happens to reflect well on me, then I head off to work feeling like I can take on the world. If it reflects badly, I head to work feeling, "great.. first bad decision of the day, shouldn't have worn this outfit".

My current first mirror of the day are the elevator mirrors in my apartment building, and they make me look short and fat. I don't like these mirrors....

Why Pink???

Why do all the brides want their bridesmaids to wear pink??

I've just been informed that i'll be wearing pink for another wedding later this year. To reiterate how bad my last pink experience was, I'll quote Jason after he saw a photo of my dress last time... "ok, the hair and makeup look nice.. but WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WEARING"... bad sign... VERY bad sign.

I'll be seeing a ton of people that I know at this wedding (i didn't know more than 5 ppl -- including the bride and the groom -- at the last wedding). Great reunion impression .. .

"hi, oh my gosh, it must have been 10 years since I last saw u..."
(can feel friend looking me up and down and thinking, 'man, the years haven't been kind to you..'

i mean, can i volunteer an explanation at this point???
*self conscious laugh* "ha-ha..  she insisted we all wear pink, makes me look really washed out, but u should see me in black.. now THAT's my color... look totally different in black, totally hot!!"

and this time... i think it's freestyle.. and not too formal. How easy would it be to end up looking like i'm going to work. Pink top/blouse, black pants... urgh.. help me think of something!!!...I have a feeling that i'll spend the next 2 months looking for something to wear..
